Registering FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 with the FRITZ!Smart Gateway

You can also register the FRITZ!Smart Energy 250 current sensor with the FRITZ!Smart Gateway to increase the number of smart home devices that can be used in your home network.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • The FRITZ!Smart Gateway is connected with the Mesh Master and is marked with the Mesh symbol in the Mesh Overview.

1 Registering FRITZ!Smart Energy 250

  1. Click "Smart Home" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Smart Gateway.
  2. Click "Devices and Groups" in the "Smart Home" menu.
  3. Click "Register a FRITZ! Smart Home Device".
  4. Within 2 minutes: Push the Connect button on the FRITZ!Smart Energy 250. The LED on the current sensor pulses green, indicating that it is ready to be registered.
  5. The LED on the current sensor glows green as soon as it is successfully registered. Then the current sensor is displayed under "Devices and Groups" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.

The smart home device is now set up and you can switch and control it in the home network and from anywhere over the internet.
