Changing the MyFRITZ! address of the FRITZ!Repeater

When any FRITZ!Repeater used as an internet router first logs into your MyFRITZ! account, it is assigned a random, unique address ending with .myfritz.net. The FRITZ!Repeater is always accessible over the internet at this MyFRITZ! address, even if its public IP address changes regularly.

The MyFRITZ! address is required to redirect you easily and reliably to the MyFRITZ! home page of your FRITZ!Repeater after you have logged in to myfritz.net.

You can change the MyFRITZ! address of your FRITZ!Repeater and create a different MyFRITZ! address with the extension .myfritz.link for the FRITZ!Repeater or assign it the MyFRITZ! address of a different FRITZ! product.

Important:After changing the MyFRITZ! address, VPN connections to the FRITZ!Repeater must be reconfigured and any bookmarks must be changed to the new MyFRITZ! address. With MyFRITZ! apps, you only have to use them once in the home network so that they then use the new MyFRITZ! address.

  1. Call up myfritz.net in a web browser.
  2. In the corresponding fields, enter the email address and MyFRITZ! password you used to register with MyFRITZ!Net, and click on 'Log In'.
  3. Solve the CAPTCHA.
  4. Click on the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the web page and then click on ‘MyFRITZ!Net Settings’.
  5. Click on 'Manage MyFRITZ! Addresses'.
  6. Click next to the given FRITZ!Repeater on .
  7. If the FRITZ!Repeater should use its own MyFRITZ! address, enter the desired MyFRITZ! address.
    • If the FRITZ!Repeater should use the MyFRITZ! address of a different FRITZ! product registered with this MyFRITZ! account:
      1. Enable the option 'Use existing MyFRITZ! address'.
      2. Select the desired MyFRITZ! address.
  8. Click on 'Save' to adopt the new MyFRITZ! address.

Now the MyFRITZ! address of the FRITZ!Repeater has been changed. It may take up to 25 hours until the new MyFRITZ! address is displayed in the FRITZ!Repeater. However, the FRITZ!Repeater can still be reached at all times via MyFRITZ!Net.
