Revoking access rights to FRITZ!Repeater from a mobile device

You can easily revoke the rights to access your FRITZ!Repeater from the FRITZ!Apps installed on your mobile device by uninstalling the apps.

However, if the mobile device has been stolen or lost and it is no longer possible to uninstall the FRITZ!Apps, proceed as described in this guide to revoke the apps' rights to access your FRITZ!Repeater.

In this case we also recommend changing the Wi-Fi network key of the FRITZ!Repeater and deleting VPN connections configured for the mobile device in the FRITZ!Repeater.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Repeater.

1 Revoking rights from FRITZ!Apps

  1. Click "System" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click "FRITZ!Repeater Users" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Apps" tab.
  4. Click the (Delete) button next to the app whose access rights you wish to revoke.

    Note:FRITZ!Apps that are not displayed here do not have any rights to access the FRITZ!Repeater.

2 Changing the Wi-Fi network key

  1. Click "Wi-Fi" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click "Security" in the "Wi-Fi" ("Wireless") menu.
  3. Click on the "Encryption" tab.
  4. Enable the option "WPA Encryption (highest security)".
  5. Enter a new password in the "Wi-Fi network key" field. Use numerals, letters, and other characters, and mix upper and lower case letters.
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.

3 Deleting VPN connections

If IPSec or WireGuard VPN connections to the FRITZ!Repeater were configured on the mobile device, delete these VPN connections in the FRITZ!Repeater:

  1. Click "Internet" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click on "Permit Access" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Click on the "VPN (IPSec)" tab.
  4. If a VPN connection is displayed for the mobile device, click the (delete) button next to the respective VPN connection.
  5. Click on the "VPN (WireGuard)" tab.
  6. If a VPN connection is displayed for the mobile device, click the (delete) button next to the respective VPN connection.
