You can also operate the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G with a 12 V power adapter and use it in a caravan at a camping site, for example, or connect it to the onboard electrical network of a boat.

ATTENTION!We used the power adapter AVM 311P0W168 (included with FRITZ!Box 7530 AX and FRITZ!Box 4050, for example) and the MikroTik Gigabit PoE adapter (RBGPOE) to test the FRITZ!Box with a 12 V power adapter. AVM cannot guarantee that the FRITZ!Box can be used with a different 12 V power adapter.

The FRITZ!Box requires DC input voltage of 12 V / 1.5 A (18 watt), although DC input voltage of 10 V - 57 V can be used.

Connecting it to the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G requires a passive PoE adapter with a 12 V input that transmits power to the FRITZ!Box's LAN port (PIN 4+, 5+, 7-, 8-).

Polarity is defined by the power adapter. Its plug must have the following polarity: + core (inside) / - sheath (outside).

To protect the external power source, the FRITZ!Box 6860 5G is equipped with an internal 2A fuse for the 12V supply.
