The seventh generation of Wi-Fi has a few tricks up its sleeve to help perfect your Wi-Fi experience: Multi-Link Operation (MLO) means Wi-Fi 7 devices can transmit and receive data on multiple frequency bands simultaneously. Mesh Wi-Fi with FRITZ!
The FRITZ!Box 5690 supports Mesh Wi-Fi, meaning your videos, music, and photos seamlessly reach every corner of your home, apartment or office. FRITZ!Repeater, FRITZ!Powerline or other FRITZ!Box models adopt the settings of the FRITZ!Box at the internet connection and all devices are always optimally connected – automatically and reliably.
With Mesh you enjoy high speeds while surfing, streaming or gaming. Instead of waiting for breathtaking 4k streaming and your favourite music, your media will wait for you.
High speed on the fibre optic connection
The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro supports GPON and AON, the fibre optic standards commonly used in Europe. The FRITZ!Box 5690 is connected directly to the fibre optic connection using the fibre optic cable included with delivery. Simply plug it in and get set up quickly and easily in the user interface. The FRITZ!Box can also be flexibly connected to a fibre optic modem (ONT).

The FRITZ!Box 5690's powerful hardware brings top speed to the home network – in addition to incredibly fast Wi-Fi 7, there are also two gigabit LAN ports and one 2.5-gigabit port – which can be configured as an additional 2.5-gigabit LAN port.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 gives you comprehensive telephony convenience: you can connect one analogue phone and up to six DECT phones. In addition, you can configure up to five answering machines and manage call lists. Notifications about missed calls or incoming voice messages ensure you're always up to date. You can also sync your online contacts from Google, Apple, and more with your FRITZ!Box.
FRITZ!Apps for added convenience
