AVM presents the FRITZ!Box 4690, a powerful wireless router. The FRITZ!Box 4690 is easy to connect to an existing fibre optic modem or router and allows internet speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. The top model of the FRITZ!Box 4000 series supports Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6, and achieves up to 6.9 Gbit/s thanks to dual-band operation. A 10-gigabit WAN port as well as one 10-Gbit/s LAN and three 2.5-Gbit/s LAN ports provide for maximum speeds over wired connections as well. The device is rounded out with a DECT base station for telephony and smart home applications plus a USB port. All convenience features familiar from the FRITZ! family, like Mesh Wi-Fi, VPN, Wi-Fi guest access, and firewall, are also on board. The FRITZ!Box 4690 is on sale now for 319 euros (RRP).

Connect with a modem and surf away

As soon as the FRITZ!Box 4690 is connected to a fibre optic, DSL, or cable modem, or alternatively, to a router, it distributes the fibre optic speed with Wi-Fi 7 and high gigabit speeds to every device in the home. For this the FRITZ!Box must simply be connected by LAN cable; configuration via FRITZ!Box user interface or the MyFRITZ!App is taken care of in no time at all. Thanks to the DECT base station, various smart home devices can be connected and controlled easily via FRITZ!OS or the FRITZ!App Smart Home.

With one 10-gigabit port each for WAN and LAN, as well as three 2.5-gigabit LAN ports, there are no obstacles to zero-latency gaming without high ping times, or to virtual-reality applications.
